John : Aka Yavuz - Lead Tour-guide and founder of  The Overland Adventures. While maintaining for many years a full time career in the auto sector, he also has been involved in the travel industry as an independent agent with TPI since 2007, achieved a certification: CATS ( Certified Adventure Travel Specialist with formally known Trek Holidays ) & he is a certified tour guide.

John is passionate about cars, photography, travel and riding motorcycles. While in charge of taking awesome photos for our company web and social media sites, he also manages the marketing, website design and development.

For over a decade, his passion for photography has led him to assignments with an European based Media Company as a freelance photographer covering international sporting events abroad.

John clocked more than 13.000 km travelling throughout Southern Africa with Valerie, on both motorcycle and trucks. Trust us, they have some amazing stories to tell from their experiences…
